Privacy Policy

NEXT Movies ("the app") is a free app. This page explains what information the app handles, what stays on your device, and which third-party services receive data when you use it.

Information You Create

Your playlists, notes, attached photos, chibi character levels and statistics are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to us and are not shared with anyone. Deleting a playlist or note, or deleting the app, removes that content from your device.

Photo Library

If you attach a photo to a note, the app asks for access to your photo library. Only the photos you pick are copied into the app's own storage on your device. They are never uploaded.

Advertising and App Tracking Transparency

The app shows ads through Google AdMob. Where required (for example in the EEA and the UK), a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform is shown first. On iOS, the app asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency before the advertising identifier (IDFA) can be used. If you decline, ads are not personalized using that identifier. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

AdMob may collect device information such as identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from it, and ad interaction data in order to deliver and measure ads.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services, each covered by its own privacy policy:

• Google AdMob — advertising.
• Google Analytics for Firebase — usage analytics.
• Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting.
• The Movie Database (TMDB) — movie and TV information and artwork. When you browse or search, the app requests data from TMDB, which receives your IP address and the language you selected. Your search text is sent to TMDB to return results.
• YouTube (Google) — trailers play through the official embedded YouTube player, which is subject to Google's privacy policy.

App Updates

When it starts, the app checks our update server for fixes to its content. This request includes the app version and an identifier that is unique to this app on your device. It does not include your notes, photos or any personal information.

Log Data

If the app encounters an error, crash-reporting services may collect Log Data from your device, such as the device model, operating system version, app configuration, and the time and date of the error. Log Data never includes your notes, photos or other content you create.

Cookies

The app itself does not use cookies. Third-party services listed above, such as the embedded YouTube player and advertising services, may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

Security

Content you create stays in the app's private storage on your device, protected by iOS. Data exchanged with the third-party services above is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will take the necessary steps to have it removed.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date.
